Ive just got some m18 banjo's and bolts from local hose supplier, gonna have to extend my water hose slightly but it should do the job. £20 it cost for the pair. they are ever so slightly larger than the ford ones though, they'll easy fit on the front of the blower but I reckon it could get tight on the rear near manifold, gonna have to suck it and see.
i tried the same approach but found the nut fouled on the manifold side
looks like iam just going to have to take the hit on the ford ones as i want it back on the road within the next couple of weeks lol!

those are the after market items i have and they are far too bulky, even though the seller said at the time when i bought them off him that they would be fine! radiater side is fine but they foul on the manifold!

ah good man, i just messaged the guy asking for the measurements on the connectors... would you have to get the m18 nuts separately then?
when are you looking to fit them as really i need a solution this week ideally as the car will be back from the paintshop early next week ready to be built up in superfast time (he says lol) hopefully in time for ford fair!

i spoke with the guy who i got the braided items off of ages ago and he reckons he can alter the fixing head to fit, so i will give him a chance to do that first and fingers crossed...
cheers for all the help peeps!

Thats right, but he does have a S1 coolant system by the sounds of it!
bennyboy you could also run without water cooling, like S1 Combi, Myself, and many others!

t3's dont need water going to them i disconnected the water pipes to mine years ago and its fine, also helps lower engine temps as well just bung a couple of bolts into the rubber ends of the pipe and jobs a good un!
yer i was aware that you can run without water cooling, my dad looks after the car for me and he is keen to keep the water cooling... so its his decison really as he knows a hell of alot more than be about these things than me ha ha! cheers
ok the pipes have arrived! heres some pics:

they look good but look at the size difference between the originals:

and then look what happens when you put the original bolts in:

now if you fit the washers that are normally used youve got no chance of getting that tight properly! it did say on the listing that bolts were supplied so im a little dissapointed they aint in the pack BUT ive not contacted the seller i am going to tho in a minute just thort id show you guys first!!

well the bolts turned up and they are quite big 24/25mm bolt on the end and they do fit kinda, the banjo part itself gets stuck on the bolts that are on the back of the turbo where those metal half moon things are, if that makes sense??
not sure if they leak yet though but they do seem quite tight but will have to see!
