Who has experience with these cars looking into buying a mk1 s3 really like the look and the interior is lush anything in particular to look out for?

yeah typical engine sensor probs with the 1.8T engine.
coilpacks ( needs one or more over couple of years)
N75
MAF Sensor (again needs one about every few years )
Ignition Amp.
Water Temp Sensor
