seen some quality military warefare today
driving home past salisbury plains today, i had to make a phonecall to work, so dived off the road up a tank track lol. went about half a mile and there was a cross roads with a little hut with a guy in it, so thought better of it and turned around lol, and just as i did 2 apachi gun ships came out of nowhere and hovvered above me lol, so i fucked off as i didnt want a rocket up my arse!
anyway got back by the road and made my phonecalls then continued on my way. a little down the road there was a fucking loud noise as a jet plane shot accross the sky...
so i stopped to look, it was only a fooking euro fighter!
probably wont see one again so i stopped and watched it fucking about for half an hour
looks like one amazing machine

looks like they could tear you a new asshole

They must be testing it up at the demo site at Warminster then, cos that's about the only place on the Plain you can let go a 120 round.
Agreed, Apaches are THE mutts nuts of choppers.......
Mind you, I'm an ex Challenger man myself, so am biased to the tracked babies.

a few weeks back I had gone down that way to see my sister, was sat in a pub beer garden just off the A303, when 2 apache helicoptors came flying over, they are fooking cool!!

Have worked on the Challengers etc as a scaley back.
Then have also seen the Typhoon (Eurofighter) as I used work for BAE who are building them.
The Eurofigher is scary as it so manovourable!!!!!

I work on these everyday so even though I'm not complacent I don't get as excited as those who don't or not connected with the military at all. Although anyone who has a chance to get to Coningsby early morning during a weekday should see the display jet practising - well worth it as it is pretty special to watch.

Any military hardware on show, or being put through it's paces should send a shiver up the spine.
Used to watch the Tornado test pilot at Lossiemouth a lot when I was younger........that Dude was mental, and sooooooo fkin noisy.
Had a Challenger completely off the ground on driver training in Germany.

Oh, and the live firing action days at Warminster are pretty special if you can find out when they are. Open to public to watch too.........

People pay good money for a chance of driving a tank or whatever.....luckily for me I repair them every day and unfortunately have to take them on test drives....shit I know....Lol. Nothing better than going flat out over the Plain in any tracked vehicle !!!!
