You may alos like to perues the actual selling rules, alos on the top of the site
General buying / selling rules:
Private individuals registered as gold members may offer suitable items for sale in the correct parts for sale forums.
Sales topics must be in the most suitable allocated sales forum and will not be tolerated in any other part of the forum. We also ask that members selling many items at once try to do so in one topic as opposed to listing each item separately, this aids the smooth running of the busy commercial sections.
A lot of people try to get round the rule above by posting a topic called "What’s it worth?" under the pretence that they are just wondering how much to sell it for. Due to the fact that such a member would receive many private messages about such an item for sale, we only allow this to happen in the Items for sale forums, which are of course plus members only areas. This rule only applies if the user does in fact have one of these items that they may want to sell.
Members either known to be, or considered by the web team to be commercial users must be registered as official PassionFord Traders and have paid the current fee to be able to enter any sale advertisements whatsoever on the forum or be registered with a business name. Registration is also required in order to place or reply to wanted adverts.
All topics must give a clear description of the goods and a price. Listing items with no price is not good enough. If you are not sure of a price, visit eBay to get an idea.
It is not PassionFord's responsibility to check that goods are fit for purpose, accurately described and/or comply with UK road and traffic laws. That is for you as the buyer to ascertain for yourself and we must ask you to think very carefully before buying from a member with very few posts as they may have signed up just to sell an item meaning nobody on the forum will know them.
Nothing that you post for sale must be illegal for use in the country occupied by the buyer or seller. Vehicles, or items intended for use on vehicles must be fully legal for use on the road and must adhere to all relevant laws unless its lack of legality is SPECIFICALLY stated in the advertisement in good clear text of normal or larger font size. (I.E: For off road use only.)
Selling items "On behalf of" anybody whom is not a PassionFord member is not allowed. If a person wishes to use PassionFord to sell an item, it will take him just 2 minutes to register their own account. This stops a multitude of problems when the item is not as described and the topic poster is held accountable.
Group Buys should be left to the registered traders as historically they are proven to cause nothing but problems when they don't go as planned and people start blaming the forum and its admin for things going wrong. Secondly, PassionFord's registered traders pay good money to use this site in a commercial manner and it would be unfair of us to allow a non registered trader to sell a large volume of items to our community via a group buy when they haven't paid for the privilege of doing so. If you wish to arrange group buys, please feel free to do so but please use our registered traders to do so or maybe even ask the supplier you have in mind if he would like to join us. With the prospect of a bulk sale lined up immediately upon joining why woudlnt he?.
Should you wish to sell any form of tickets, we only allow the sale of such items at or below face value. We will not entertain ticket touting of any form.
With regards cars for sale we take the same stance as many online car sales websites and deem a user with more than 4 car sales per annum (Per annum is counted from January 1st) as a professional/part time car trader, thus plus membership will not cover it and he/she must register as a trader or cease selling at once. This is to protect our members from unscrupulous part time car traders trying to make a living from PassionFord by using our user base to tout their goods.
Any user found to be selling an unusual amount of car parts may also be deemed as trading due to the current popularity of this as a way to earn money in the Ford RS scene. Generally speaking, people do not buy whole cars just for the driver’s seat and then have to sell the rest on via PassionFord as some members would like us to believe. If you want to trade in parts, this is the place to do it, but you will need to pay your way like everyone else.
Commercial posts are generally forbidden unless they are placed by members with traders status. Any commercial posts by non trade members that are deemed to be looking to make money from our members will be deleted immediately.
Generally speaking, members should not be making a profit from other members. To clarify, we do not condone the buying and selling of goods purely for profit by anyone other than a trade status member. This is not easy to police but we will attempt to do so in order to protect the paying traders from unfair competition.
All sale items must stay strictly on topic. General chit chat may lead to the topics removal and no derogatory postings on member’s sale topics will be tolerated.
If you don't like the price someone has stated or you are not interested in buying, move on. Non sale related or negative comments will be deleted and the poster potentially infracted.
