Default whats causing my smoke?

Hey all, just noticed my saffs got a bit of a habbit
Its only just had a top end rebuild and newish turbo .

But after periods on overrun, when i hit the throttle again it chucks a noticable amount of blue smoke out, whats this point too?

There isn;t a whisper when its started from cold or anything, and after a bit of throttle it clears untill next time you have some overrun?

Smoke on overun mate normally suggests valve seals or stems ,,,, thats if its blue smoke ... The oil is being sucked down through the clearance between valve and stem when throttle is closed ... As your head is just been rebuilt it could be something else ,,, unless some stem seals have come away from there seats ... I had same problem with aftermarket seals and have no problem since i fitted ford seals ....

they wernt origianl ford ones, so i am guessing its those then, nothing major, will just have to live with the smoke, i'm not going to take the head off again yet just to do them.
Thanks for that.

No worries .. Just make sure all your breathers are clean etc as well .. If it was piston and bore wear,, it would normally smoke under load on throttle ... Regards mark

Bore/ring wear can certainly cause what you have, engines don't always work to a pattern.
