does anyone know who will recon my 2wd cosworth t5 box tried a few places and they wont touch it, im in north yorkshire,

Gearbox man!

 

I don't know why they won't touch it, they are crude basic boxes nothing fancy.
I would just grab yellow pages etc, or ask around at garages where they get thiers done.
Often the 5th gear can be a shit to get off even with heat and correct tool, and the gear breaks, nearly Ł100 on it's own this.

there must be loads of places that will do it. There is always motorscope in northallerton.

 

I dealt with Gearbox Man in the UK from here in New Zealand, and I found them to be EXCELLENT!

 

i gave him a ring after i posted on here 310+vat for overhaul which aint bad cheers for feedback

Ł310 + vat is about right, very similar to what I got quoted, was a drive in drive out job though.
