.......Missfire and generally throw fire out the back of the car when you put you foot down and there isn;t a great deal of petrol in them?
mines a fooking nightmare if i have less than 1/4 of a tank.

If the swirl pot inside the tank isn't a very good one, under sustained hard acceleration they can do this when low enough, mine was same with old tank, over 1/4 no problem, also did it on extended high speed cornering.

Thats probably why then, the extra G's are probably chucking the fuel backwards a bit harder, plus the injecters need a lod of fuel, hmmmm!
Would an extra fuel swirl pot help, can you get them?

I think that you should check the fuel tank as tabetha said because mine never do it even if I drive with the fuel warning light on no matter what cornering speed (400 bhp and 044 bosch pump). Maybe the pipe that goes to the swirl pot inside the tank has got a hole or something...
Mine did the same the other day, but that was going around a corner quick and at the bottom of the red. The same sort of spec as yours aswell. Its never done anything like that before, but then again i havent run it to the red before.

You have a fuel supply issue of some sort, as in you aren't getting enough. Something i'd take very seriously! Its either you pump of the swirl pot system in the tank.
I've noticed mine now chokes a little on hard left corners, particularly with a relatively empty tank - guess this might be down to my pattern tank having no swirl pot. Wish I'd pulled the pot out of my old tank before it got binned
Pattern tanks can be terrible in this respect, the oe fuel tanks supplied on the cars had excellent swirl pots that were filled by the return line, before excess fuel over and above what the swirl pot held simply got pushed upwards and over the top into the main tank, these swirl pots were made by Mercedes!!, but worked ace, plastic in design, exceptionally unlikely to be a in tank prob with these as the pipes are all solid, right from tank outside to tank inside into the swirl pot.

yep!! mine did that a huge missfire when tank was near empty, sometimes would even fail to start until a gallon of fuel was put in & then all was fine. Never did get to the bottom of it, just kept tank 1/4 full.
I think it goes without saying that their was nothing wrong with the set up of my car, fully serviced every 1500 miles & fuelling check before every Topspeed run & no probs ever found.

Nope, it had over half a tank when it was there.
I worded myself a bit wrong above, i dont mean i hate working on it, it just worries me if i break stuff or cant put it back together!
Been out in it again now, with the same amount of juice and its been grand again?!
odd car.
