Bought a 2WD saph the other day, has lots of issues but one of the most obvious is that the dash doesn't work AT ALL!!!
I figured the speedo could just be a cable, but the temp/fuel, revs and all the lights don't work either! The wiring looks terrible, but i know i can fix it, just need a few hints of where to look first before i rip the whole lot out.
Oh and did i mention that the fuel pump works off the side lights........
Like i said i won't be defeated, and worst case i'll just get another loom.

 

Hi mate, get your self a schematic and start with basics, fuses, live's and earth's, as for the fuel pump wired from the side lights wasn't that modification to steal one in the 90's. Anyway this is an easy repair, there a diagram knocking round on here of how to rewire it. If you have no luck finding it, pm me your email and i will send it to you.

I would start at the very basics, leads at battery all present and correct etc, then onto ignition lock, then as said just work methodically along the way, be time consuming but such a good feeling when you've fixed it all yourself, I suspect it may well have issues with main power feed relay to knock so much out, but hard to tell, good luck anyway.
