Default Oil pumps

Rite went to see the block whos rebuilding my engine yesterday, found out it needs a rebore and new pistons, makin the engine a 1650, i was wonderin seen as all the internals are gettin replaced, am not goin for big power or anythin, but was wunderin would it help to use an uprated oil pump? or would a standard one be fine to use?

Who's doing the work for you matey??

Definatly go for a genuine ford oil pump pal as all these uprated copy
ones fail. Oil pumops are the heart of the engine and thats the last thing you
need after a fresh rebuild. Ebay is littered with copy ones for £60 etc
aswell as burton power but steer well clear.

Genuine Ford all the way

Part No's below

CVH pump upto 1986 - 6085097 - Gear type
CVH pump 1986 on - 6169335 - Rotor type
Oil pump gasket - 6851352
Oil Pick up pipe gasket - 6169337
Oil pump bolts - 6103425 x 6no

Just give your local ford dealer a call mate with part numbers i supplied
