Default Scrap it?

After reading through various project threads im just wondering how bad a S2 needs to be before you would scrap it?

It seems the only rust you cant just cut out is on the roof. All other areas seem treatable if you have the patience.

Your oppinions please!

depends on the amount of rust, if its just small patches here and there then most people will repair if its all over and practically all panels need repaired or replaced then financially better off reshelling.

as for the roof.. it can always be reskined with a new/replacment/carbon one.

Well I've got rust in my roof that I'm gonna be cutting out, it aint a big job, is it?

I've had to replace floor panels, arches, cills etc which in my opinion is not a great deal of work/expense and the car is gonna be worth more after it. You'll probably find alot of S2s out there advertised Ł2k plus in need of this kinda work too! If the tin rot was to be hiding in places structural and everywhere else then it'd be of to the scrappies.
