fuel tank
hello when filling my car up with petrol it is only allowing me to £20 in at the most wots up with it?

OK, here goes....
Is the petrol gauge showing it's empty? (Sorry but got to ask)
Does it have white dials?
Does the petrol gauge level go up as the car warms up?

yeah have got lock wood dials its a s2.
the gauge is workin because wen i do fill up it goes to around half way mark.

The reason I ask about white dials is people tend to damage the needles when they fit them. I replaced a set of clocks because some plank had fitted white dials and either removed or bent the needles to do so. Result was the gauge never registered below 1/2 tank!
Wouldn't have thought it was the breather though myself. If it was, when you open the petrol cap the level would be corrected.
