Default S1 Bare Head vs S2 Bare Head

As some of you know i'm looking at head work etc....
Just wanted to know if a S1 head will bolt straight on in place of a S2 head i know it will on the block it was the inlet manifold i wasnt sure about as the S1 is different to the S2, will they match up? I also noticed the exhaust ports are round on a S1 head and squarer on a S2.
All the vavles etc will be replaced so it's is just a bare head comparison really.

Thanks!

They are pretty much the same dimesionally (as in replacing one for another). I tend to opt for the EFI heads and just weld up the injector areas, these can be removed later if needed for EFI, Coz Mgmt etc where you dont want to use the spacer plate
Not having much luck with these valves

25 years ago yes, but now they will be brittle and prone to breaking from what I have read Sodium Valves should never be reused.
But as I said just a bare head comparison really.

No prob... i'm very rusty when it comes to the cvh engine as i've not had one for 10+yrs..

You can buy new sodium valves for big valve heads, but i heard they werent cheap
