just got a new laptop a dell xps m1530 which I hate say is a pretty well built machine, im not a dell fan and got it based on price.

What can I say im presently impressed unlike Vista which is the most god damn awful OS I have ever seen.

Its got 64 bit Linux going on it as we speak, going to load it all into RAM

Spec is : 2.5 ghz dual cores with 6meg cache, 8 gig DDR2, 500 gig sata, n-spec wireless, 256 meg Nvidia 8600M GT.. well pleased

 

Right, so you're well pleased, even tho you hate it.... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

 

I only got dell cos I needed a new lappy to abuse and get discounts on them, im pretty impressed how Dell have improved, its actually got an reasonable build quality and I did say I was "presently impressed" and well worth the money I paid

Still hating vista though, but who does'nt but that's gone now... so im reasonably happy now also

Linux loads entirely into the RAM upon boot
