hey up andy i am well mate this weather is a dream chap, i bought some land last year so i could put a house and shed on the same plot so i don't get ear off the mrs for always being at the garage this way i'm at home lol so it will keep her sweat. i bought the shed as a package mate all up it cost me $32000 built and council approved. i am off to fit a 9000 ltr water tank round the back of it today and that will be as much as i have done lol. i will put a pic of my land up so you can see what i have to play with chap

this is where the new house and pool will go and you can see the shed pad i had cut at the bottom of the garden

this is looking across from my shed to the pond i had dug out a while ago

looking up to where the house is going

and this is what it looked like before i had the earth works done, it's 3.5 acres i could have had bigger but this was a nice plot on the edge of woodland and 5 mins to the center of town

land is very cheap here at the moment mate i paid $135,000 for it so about 60k in the old money. i nearly bought 30 acres just out of town thank fook i didn't lol it would have been a nightmare to keep tidy. building is cheap to lol i am haveing a four bed two bathroom on suite house built to top spec for just over $220,000, all up land house pool and my new garage will have cost me about £175,000. i am looking at doubling my money on this property as it will be worth about $650,000 when done. i'm looking for another plot at the moment as land is starting to go up a bit and have spotted another nice plot about the same size for similar money . and timmy lad there will be a place to visit before to long chap then you will be able to go look for tittys down here pal

Always good to see people doing well for themselves. I'd love a massive house and a garage to match.

i'm just mr average lads i don't have piles of cash lol. i won't have a mortgage to speak of and will have saved enough to buy another plot as soon as this one is done. it killed me haveing money in the bank and driving an old 325i for me track car but i new i was heading out here and could not justify blowing money on toys. i worked like a dog to make enough money to make the move as easy as poss. i now have to make the most of what i have. hopefully in 12 months time i will have a nice pad with all i want i'm not greedy and as it go's you get out what you put in, i have been there most of the weekend up at 5.30am this morning just to get my tank sited so i can get it plumbed in so i can catch some rain before the end of summer.

Fair play to you mate. Would love to move out there but the mrs wont leave cause she will miss her mum and all too much. Im an Australian citizen so I can go anytime I want. Shame as this country is f**kd. You work your bollocks off for nothing here, everything is so fast paced, you never have any relaxation time.

Whats the story with the water tank, why do you need it? Do you have mains water aswell or is your water delivered to you and stored?

andy there is no mains water out of town so you need tanks. i have two 25,000 ltr tanks for the house and a 9000 ltr for the garage. i also had to have a water treatment plant for the waste water a type 2 advanced treatment plant so i wont have a septic tank. the type two is an areobic sand filteration set up and is totaly odourless i bought a ripper for me old tractor to prepare an area of ground so i can run it off sub surface it is an undergroud set up so there will be nothing to see or smell

oh i should be able to collect enough water from the roof of the house so there will be no need to have it deliverd. it's not expensive to have it deliverd 5000 gallon is $200 so i will have the tanks filled first time round as it will be winter when the house is done and we don't get rain in the winter here just the summer lol
