Default How to convert P8 to L6?

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine has got an L6 computer and is building a track EsCos. He has no P8 ECU, and wants to use a L6. The original Loom is in the car.

What is needed to fit the L6 computer in the car? The connector looks the same? Is it just switching some cables?

Cheers,
Bjorn

for pure ease and effort, why not just buy a P8, or even a L8.

plug and play then.

going to a L6 is going backwards, very backwards infact.

Unplug TPS. Car will start and drive on L6 for testing.

Correct. So fitting a PF01 will feed the ECU an open circuit signal at idle, which flags as a TPS fault and disables/affects a few strategies such as overun fuel and idle control.

PF01 will never work correctly on a L8 - P8. Its a bodge.
