removing paint from wheels and polishing!

can any one tell me the best way to remove paint from my rs2k alloys then polish without damaging the alloy! is nitromors suitable or to harsh?

Ive used nitromors to remove paint from alloys, doesn't seem to damage the metal at all, but you need to polish it quick and get a coat of laquer on there or the alloy will corrode.
