cosworth electric? problem

Default cosworth electric? problem

Hello everybody,the last week I washed my cossie engine with a lot water and detergent of car,so after this the engine is not work good,behind of exhaust smells petrol and removes black smoke,also at idle it tangles,then I blew all connectors with air but nothing,so i replaced the sparks plugs,also the ECT Coolant Sensor - Blue with new and the ACT Air Charge Sensor - Brown too,but the problem still there,i think somebody electric part must be burned,any idea? thanks a lot

Have you checked inside your dizzy cap. Make sure its not full of condensation.

Had similar probs on mine with washing my engine. In the end i had a faulty map sansor and a f**ked up wireingloom. Because a cossi is getting old, the the loom can suck some water an causes a short in the wires and kill some sensors.

map-sensor would be my guess.

try to remove it from the car and lay it on someplace warm overnight. se if that will work, if not, replace it.

map-sensor + engine-wash = be careful!

not yet mate,today i removed from my car the map and i will fit it the same again tomorrow
