Thinking about getting a cheap one, what mileage do these engines go to? Plus whats the average mpg like please?

 

i use to have one, i did 30k hard miles in mine had it remapped as soon as i got it never missed a beat, use to get around 30mpg with average driving

 

weve got a LCR which is same engine really, apart from the 75bhp difference

Avg about 28-30 mpg, which our Skoda Octavia VRS did too ( also same engine with 30bhp more ) which clocked 200k and was still sweet as a nut

Cool, I have a pug 306 DT at the mo, but it's tatty as!! I only get about 30 mpg out of that as it gets "95'd" everywhere. Plus petrol is cheaper - so I thought I may as well get something decent looking that goes well.
