First Track day in the CLIO--- WICKED!!!

First Track day in the CLIO--- WICKED!!!
Evening all
Despite almost dieing on the way up as there was a smash on the motorway which left a car facing me on the outside lane as I approached at 70* it was a top day...
Ran with road tyres for the first 2 sessions and couldn't get a good and constant pressure... then swapped to some part worn A048's I have which were awesome once up to temp and dont look like they've worn at all...
Wicked day, ended up with a couple of 1.32 dead but a lot of 1.33 times (obviously un officially timing by my bro and Twells off the pit wall) was also a black 172 out there running road tyres doing 1,38's my bro reckoned.
Overall through out the day the mixture of more experience with the car/confidence/tyres I knocked 15 seconds off this mornings times.
Not much stoppage during the day but as usual utter COONTS in "fast" cars who refused to move out of the way for "faster" cars.... at one point a Red Elise had 9 cars behind it for 3 laps... total fucking moron- had got his lap top out between sessions fucking with it and was really slow- I think he was also realy old.
Big respect to the guy in E63 AMG thing fucking big balls- almost stuffed it on some oil an escos laid down.. and had a big moment coming out of the last corner onto the hanger straight...
Anyways- top day, video may follow later if I can be arsed, roll on 29th of December.

PS- clio drove there and back, which is already a million times better than the shit 205 I had.

Sorry man, I thought it was common knowledge- my apolgies, the guys there got some awesome photo's but I am a bit unsure about paying Ł35 for em...
I'm on the 29th too... but I wont get near that without full slicks and I wont have them on for then... I think 1.30 is probably possible... as I know where I was going wrong.

i was there on tuesday and had an awesome day considering i had only done it once before-29th dec last year in my m5.
ive timed a few of my laps via the in car camera i had and was doing 1.25/26's which i was surprised at! i was flying though,even though i was getting a loss of fuel on 2 of the corners every lap!
ive done lots of days at oulton park this year but i think i prefer donnington now.

i am growing to like clios, I bought one as a week day hack, but must admit they go round corners very well
the back end is hmmmm not great, but i think its just because its light, you can thorow it into corners

I'm out in Novice on Noisy day- but have my little bro and Twells in tow and would like to get my bro out with some other peeps too.

Its good in Novice, I battered 95% of cars out there today... the old start at the front and over take everything by end of the session routine.....
Only things that came past me were a Silver Evo and Red Civic type R and in the last session a couple of scoobys.

GOt it on video and our reactions are funny- rest of the video is boring as its so controlled and smooth (pmsl) and doesn't show any of the Red Lotus being a coont...
Also didn't get the "low tyre pressure" incident at Redgate either...
I'll email her in a bit and see whats what...
