Funny how you linked that video right after I went nuts on Nordschleife with my GTC-65 Renault Alpine...

...in rFactor.

THO if you want it to actually be good, you need proper wheel-set, realfeel plugin installed for proper FFB and a good mod, like Historic Touring car mod, it's the one I was using when driving with Alpine, haves some nice Fords too.

Sadly majority of the mods have crap physics, but some of them are very good, like the Historic one. If you see a mod what says physics produced by Niels or whit his tool it probably is great.

The Nordschleife is downloadable content too.

rFactor as itself is just horrible, but with some tweaking it's one of the best things on my PC currently.

-EDIT- Quite good video I think:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_-Tso6fxcQ
It's the "physics genius" Niels driving Escort mk1 BDA in rFactor, look up for other of his vids too.

BigPeBe - which version of the ring is the best at the moment, i;ve not played on rfactor for a while. Also, how does GTR Evo compare? I like the all car mod on Rfactor as you can have a kind of trackday with lots of different stuff out there.

I think this is the one I have
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail...%20Ring%202007

-EDIT- I think this is the newest version http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail...chleife%202007

I haven't played that much of GTR-games, because I'm not really into cars like that, but all I know that physics wise they're nothing compared to something like HistoriX in rFactor.
I dunno if you can even get proper feedback in any GTR.

Me too, but also I can't say that I didn't have a blast yesterday, grid of 44 cars from classes TC-65, GTC-65 & GTC-TC-76 and two hours of drive in the Nordschleife.

Were you following him round in your own car Nick or were you on the "75 Experience" course?

me and a friend followed a group of 4 or 5 of these round the ring early last year, in the wet, in my 1.8 escort. they were obviously trying as we had to stop 3 times for them losing it, one had a prang just before adenau and we ended up going past. was quite suprised how my escort kept with them, i was expecting be left behind after the initial blast upto the first sharp right hander....

I think a lot of them that they use for instruction are 2 litre Twinsparks to be fair.....and the people inside are likely to be Ring novices if they're part of the RSR school

i definitely remember seeing V6 badges on more than 1 of them. although its possible they were just keeping with a slower model. they sounded awesome though!

they were all uk cars too.
