Default ford keys?

Went to get a new ignition key today and ive just tried it in the ignition and it doesnt work is there anything special you have 2 do or should i take the key back? i didnt get it cut by fords tho would this matter?

is it a chip key if yes it needs coding or do u have the red key or do u mean it wont turn the lock if so give it a wirebrushing

nah its not a coded key just wont turn in the lock

nah its key locked and the petrol cap is a different one

ingnition barrel is a different key as i changed the ignition barrel a few years ago when i owned it as it got stolen

oh rite the key i got cut is the same as the one i use now, well sorta the same but it doesn't work lol

I would drive your car back to the shop so they can cut it again and you will be able to check it straight away. Sometimes worn keys cause a problem when copying.

took the key back 2day and he said he didnt take abit off tryed it again and still not joy, im thinking hes missin something or the barrels worn?
