Buy a Dell, you can not get better bang for the buck and for 500 quid you will get a top class laptop imho

with all my years working in IT and making puchases

I would go for a intel based HP laptop, try and puchase a bussness version one.

As they come with 1year pick up and repair and 3 years warranty

yea the main "off" button is for sleep mode but just to the right is the shutdown not realy messed with the settings on it

i work abroad alot so i needed one to watch films on ect as i said not the smallest but it was another 20 quid or so for the wide screen so it had to be done

if you want it to last, a business class laptop from a proper brand HP, Lenovo, Dell etc.

all the manufacturers sell cheap well specced but shit quality machines that will fuck up within a year, including HP and Dell.

you get what you pay for at the end of the day, i can buy a lenovo X61 for 800quid thats lower "specced" than some acer 300quid thing. doesnt mean it's not worth the money! lol
