i got my neighbour who is a hydraulic hose maker to make me some new fuel lines up.on the pump he used the old banjos as he couldnt get the right ones.on the pipe that feeds the fuel rail he wrapped electrical tape on the outside at each end,shoved it on the rail then put a crimp fastener on it on top of the electrical tape,on the return he did similar but with the wrong size hose,it went from braided to a 60 mm long piece of hose with a nipple joining them.when i took it to be tuned the guy said it was a fire risk and the rubber hose was leaking.basically it is a total arse and i knew it wasnt right from the start,where can i get the right ends from and does anybody know which size and type i need?cheers,lee

 

Search for earls hose's lee.they do the lot,but aint cheap

look in your local yellow pages....I used Pirtek for all my stuff, really helpfull lads. in fact im back down there tomorrow to collect some more parts that ive ordered

Sounds like a right bodge job mate, I have posed up my own thread about what you need to get, but it's not cheap, do a search for my thread it details all the stuff you need. Is it a saph or what????

 

yeah,its a sapph.i have the braided lines,i need a fitting to go on the regulator,1 for the fuel rail,1 for the tank end and 3 crimps (i think) for the pump pipes.

 

Are you still using the standard rail???? I'd get it modded or buy an aftermarket one with -6 ends from Reyland/Mike Rainbird/A1 Rallyesport oe Ebay if i were you, much easier, you don't have to worry about the fittings coming off. That's what I did, i can tell you what fittings to get if you do that, otherwise I can't help, and i wouldn't reccomend crimp on/hose clips onto the rail.
If you get a rail that has screw on ends you can mount the regulator seperately in the engine bay, or buy an uprated one. I used the standard one with -6 crimp on/hose end finishers FROM the rail as it's in the return side, but onto the rail from the pump you have to use -6 fittings and I've done the same at the return side where the regulator used to sit, it's a screw on fitting at one end and a hose clip onto the regulator.
