Are you still using the standard rail???? I'd get it modded or buy an aftermarket one with -6 ends from Reyland/Mike Rainbird/A1 Rallyesport oe Ebay if i were you, much easier, you don't have to worry about the fittings coming off. That's what I did, i can tell you what fittings to get if you do that, otherwise I can't help, and i wouldn't reccomend crimp on/hose clips onto the rail.
If you get a rail that has screw on ends you can mount the regulator seperately in the engine bay, or buy an uprated one. I used the standard one with -6 crimp on/hose end finishers FROM the rail as it's in the return side, but onto the rail from the pump you have to use -6 fittings and I've done the same at the return side where the regulator used to sit, it's a screw on fitting at one end and a hose clip onto the regulator.
