I'm sure it has been asked before but what size tyres are people running on their cars. I currently have a set of RL7 wheels in a 8j X 17inch with an ET25 offset. Car originally came with 205/40 x17 on the front and 215/40 x 17 on the rear.Car runs on AVO coilovers.
Looking for ideas, was thinking either 215/40 allround or 225/35 allround.

i run identical offset and size of rims and gaz coilovers and run

235/40 rears and 215/40 fronts

 

I've pretty much the same setup

Gaz Coilovers, 8" x 17" Comp Mo's ET23 Rear ET33 Front

235/40 Rears and 215/40 Fronts

anybody running 225/35 x17 on the front?

 

i am using 225 35 but thats on a sapph

 

thought 8j tyres size was 225

 

Not sure, my vectra runs 215/40 as well and thats on 8J.

Well, looks like i will be running 225/35 on the front and 245/35 on the rear. Ordered tyres today so will be here tomorrow hopefully. Lets hope they fit without too much grief.

This a good thread, as always wanted wider tyres on my sapph, nice to know what fits with what ET etc.
They could certainly benefit from being a bit wider especially rear on 2wd!!.
