I've tried a couple of turbo's on my cossie managed escort and prefer the T3 out of everything i've tried so far it makes for a really nice flexible and responsive car, a joy to drive.

T3 is unreliable past 270bhp on a CVH.. T34 is good to about 350bhp on one.

A proper 350bhp is not likely on a T34 IMO. Not on an RST with 1600cc's.

Yeah? And what miracle cure have you engineered to reduce lag when using a T34?

Did I say that I had? It all depends on what you want from the car. The 1600cc engine is hardly the pinnacle of tuning technology, but if you want to keep the original engine for other reasons, then finding the balance is important. I do know this and have a little experience on the matter. My car is as laggy as fuck, but thats the way it needs to be, there is no miracle cure.

So if you're saying there is no miracle cure and it's part of the parcel, then my comment of 'get a bigger engine' to fix his concern over 'lag' is completely correct!

No, because if he had wanted a bigger engine, he would have built a ZVH or Zetec as we all know thats the 'Cheap' option.

Tony, it was a figure of speech, your actual real-life Mum is lovely, despite some of the terrible things you have said about her in the past.

is that what your running then or something you've tried as might try this soon when my new engine is up and running as that's going on a t34 with the .48 or .55 housing depending on power made on each
