Default S2 Gearbox Removal Help??

Hi guys,
Im taking my gearbox off to get my diff sorted, has anyone got some kind of guide for it? Or a haynes manual for download that includes the gearbox? Ive got a haynes i downloaded but it doesnt have anything about the gearbox Any help? CheeRS

Drive shafts out (or split at CV joint to not loose your oil!), Starter motor off, disconnect clutch cable, disconnect selector rods, disconnnect speedo cable, remove Amal from gearbox, support engine, undo all bell housing bolts, undo crossmember from chasis, drop down and out mate!
Think thats about it! Sure someone will say if i've forgotten anything!

BTW, what spec is your car to make 252bhp? Is that @fly or @wheels?

Thanks mate, just got driveshafts out now getin on with the rest hope everything goes well i hope!

Its at the wheels,
tuned by harvey gibbs and jamsport, running 22psi, stage 4 bottom end, stage 3 head, stage 3 hybrid turbo & gotech engine management

you may have to slightly drop the engine down abit very tight in there getting the box off with engine in situ

Excellent! Big grin indeed!

Yeah it is a snug fit you may well have to drop the engine down a bit, just use a trolley jack and a block on the gearbox side of the sump to support/lower it a bit if needed.

im a pro at gboxes now sadly,i always find it easier to take the roll bar off complete inc the plates,but we all have our ways,can do it all by my self outside my house in 3 hours out and in

its a horrible job lol
dnt forget to drain the box before hand if u can aswell cos itll get messy lol
