Just thought i'd share the pics as i think its as cool as fuck, would be even better with a 2.0 xe on throttle bodys

Never liked Avengers but that does look cool, from side on it does look like it needs bigger rims though.

I think it would look odd with modern bigger wheels tbh and it looks right in the flesh

I wasn't talking about modern rims, I don't like the look of 13's with low profile tyres.. IMHO they look poo on Escort's too, 15's would look much nicer.

Reserve not met at Ł3200? It's a cool car but there's going to be limit to how much an Avenger's worth surely? Ł3200 sound like a good price to me

No, but there's a much bigger following for the Mk2. The size of the following increases demand, and hence price surely.

Exactly, and with Mk1's and Mk2's costing 10 grand and up the other cars of the Era, such as Avengers and Sunbeams and Vivas and so on are going to start coming up in price too.
Just goes to show just how pish all the current stuff is if people are willing to spend that much on an old slow car just to have some fun
