Angry FAO tony @ Greenlight

RANT VERY MUCH ON

i have tried to send u a pm but ur inbox is full

i am trying to renew my insurance with u but ur staff dont seem to want to take my money

i am unable to make calls while at work, so my mrs (who is on the policy) rung up for me but couldn't renew as they need to speak to me which is fair enough due to data protection bollox

so today 29/08/2008 i dont normally finish till 6pm so had to finish at 4:30 pm (loosing me 1 1/2 hours in wage) to speak to greenlight, my mrs had sent GL an email with my up to date mods on but for some reason sent a blank email,

so i spoke to neil who was great, told me to send it again wait 5 mins and then ring him back and ask to speak to him, so far so good

so i did that rung back and got a bloke called Dave who was very unhelpful, neil was on a different line at the time so couldn't speak to him

Dave told me that neil would have to put the new list on the system (which i had to edit due to 2 different sets of injectors on my policy)

in which case would run over 5pm and thats when they shut he would speak to me 2moro

i explained that i was at work 2moro and monday (end of month and all that) and the only time for mr to re-new is now or sunday but sunday u are closed

Dave said that there was nothin he could do and they wouldn't speak to me past 5pm as i am only 1 case

i then said well if i cant re-new now as my policy will run out b4 i can speak to u again i will have to take my business else where bearing in mind i have been a customer of yours for 3 yrs now, dave basically said i will have to go else where then, there is nothing he can do

also bearing in mind i have had a slightly cheaper quote with adrian flux but wanted to stay with GL due to the good service i have had in the past

after neil had told me to ring back and when i do i get told its to late has pissed me off a fair bit

I did try and PM u this Tony as i didnt wont it on the board but ur inbox is full so i have had to do it this way

it would of took 5 mins if that

Tony i would like a reply to this please on this thread or by PM as i am a very unhappy customer at the moment and i dont want to change my insurance company but feel at the moment i have no choice due to unhelpful staff

RANT OFF

when my policy was up for renwal i rang them as i`d got a better quote elswhere and wanted to see if they`d beat it or even match the price..

was told thay could not improve there quote, chap didn`t even look into or ask what the other quote was, or the difference....

so obviously went elsewhere....

when i used to be with greenlight and i called them, on quite a few occasions a chap was very unhelpfull, very abrupt and you got the feeling he just couldnt be arsed speaking to me,

not good when the only contact you have with a company is down the phone

I was "turned off" slightly too by the tone of one of the employees, the name Dave does ring a bell.

I rung them last year for a quote on the general, was told they wouldn't insure me ?? Adrian flux got the business then, and Boncaster got it this year, £300 with all mods declared on a classic policy

Add up the people in this thread that have decided to take their business elsewhere and hopefully Tony will do something about the comments which have been made.

I tried to use them before but got spoken to like an idiot by one of the twatty staff so I took my business elsewhere too.

God knows how they're still in business, well actually it's probably because Tony's a decent guy but he deffo needs to change his staff as they suck the big one!

I was with them for 6+ years car then car was off road for ages when I tried to reinsure they were more expensive than before and attitude sucked. Went to FLUX i the end.

My brother had an accident his fault after 7years insurance with them and GL wanted £500 IIRC to insure the car for the rest of the year that he paid for and couldn't say weather they'd re insure him.

Posted the probs with his policy on here and spoke to Tony at great length after the event and he said it was wasn't right what my brother was told was wrong and I've been long standing customer shouldn't have etc etc and get a quote once my insurance with FLUX had elapsed and he would look at it.

So I called them went though the details online and ..............£100 more expensive than FLUX reminded Tony of conversation on the website online form and no answer.

So FLUX it is.

I have used Greenlight for 4-5 years now....but have also noticed that they do not seem to have a very good rep at the moment!!

I was always singing there praises and bigging them up.......

My Insurance on the Audi is up VERY soon and i may look elsewhere if this is the case...

TONY............. if you are reading this then look at all the people that you are looking to lose as customers for the sake of sorting the staff out....

100% agree with ya

customer service goes a long way

adrian flux beat them quote wise any way only by £50 so thought i would re-new saving all the hassle and ended up getting more

i was told to ring back in 5 minutes so i did then got told to sod off and ring the following day

As I have said they used to be really good used to have a good old chat with tony and was very happy with them. After today I will never go back to them which is a big shame as the service used to be top. Faye was going to use green light as her insurance runs out at end of month and green light was cheaper after what happened with me today she has stayed with hic so now green light has lost out again!!!

insurance is the work of the devil...bare 3rd party all the way i have probably saved in excess of 40k over 15 years and none of my cars are worth that now so i will take the hit when it comes

996turbo bare 3rd paty
few 500+ bhp cossies..bare 3rd paty
plus a few other things
had my 2 new landcruser amazon vx,s insured fully comp but the fuckers put my fully comp policy up from £330 a year to £390 so i told them to ram it and put it on my trade policy...its a 55 plater but with what its dropped in the last 6 months ..whats the point in propper insurance...

as i said..work of the devil

isure 3rd party...dont drive like a cock and you will be fine

I was with Greenlight and had a right load of hassle after needing to swap no claims from my Audi and the Cossie etc. can't remember the details but it was a pain in the arse, and being honest it was both insurance companies causing me grief but Greenlight certainly weren't playing ball

When I had a renewal I went through one of the online comparison sites and got a quote for £x which was £600 cheaper than Greenlight and on inspection it was through "Highway" which was the same company I was insured through with Greenlight

pants down I feel

ive been with greenlight for a few years, and phoned up last week for a quote on a nother car, was happy with it, bought the car 2 days ago, phoned them up and all sorted and it was £20 less lol

couldnt of been more helpfull, was dareen and neil i spoke to ive always spoke to them and they have been sound, never spoken to a dave and once with tony

im happy with the service, but there is some people who arnt, no one can win them all

but i understand the frustration as surely they could of done something, who cares if its 10mins past home time, its buisness for them at the end of the day aswell
