Make sure it has history and has been serviced regularly.

the biggest thing to do when buying a erst is to buy on condition not spec, a good clean near std car will be easier/ cheaper to get to 200bhp than buying then fixing a 200bhp rust bucket which will cost u lots and give u headaches
You dont n who has done the work.
The best thing would be to get an RST thats completley standard which the seller knows his stuff, not some chav that has sooped it up with crap...
spend about £2k and spend £1k on parts getting it up to 200bhp.
Get it chipped, remapped, intercooler, straight through exhaust, new air filter and other parts and youl ahceive 170bhp nicely and its cheap mods.
as said, get something that is pretty standard, maybe a few choice mods, then spend some cash getting the power up.
the biggest issue and cost with any rs is bodywork. So get the cleanest example you can and go from there mate.
Check out the rsoc website, pistonheads, here and similar sites and see what is about.
No good asking people to find you a car, hundreds for sale, but you need to find the one you like.
