Default black top zetec turbo rover inlet prob

Right im having probs fitting the rear mounted alt back onto the engine now that i have the rover inlet on

does anyone know if people have fitted the rover inlet to a black top and still used the rear mounted alt?

if so what alt has everyone used?

does it make a diff if its from the mondeo or focus as i have got a 105amp alt off a mondeo that i tried to fit and it wont go anywhere near the mountings cos of the inlet fowling it.

no i mean the inlet is where the alt would go!

the mountings on the alt is exactly the same as the focus item as is the bracket but i was wandering if the physical size was any different, as it looks like any one would fowl the alt.

i know people have fitted the rover inlet to black tops but do they the mount the alt at the front or something as that is not something i would like to do...

going in a mk 3 fiesta, but as im using a black top zetec i want to keep the alt at the back as i want to move the coil to the front of the engine above where the alt would sit so i can have the turbo over the gearbox

can the alternator not go at the front like most and earth the coil pack bracket elsewhere? would the alternator physically work at the back? in my escort the water pump pulley is very close to the engine mount bracket so wouldnt be poss to have it at the back and probally simular in a fezzy?

yeah i know you can use the front mount alt off a zilver top but didnt really want to as the alt would then be right where i am planning to fit the coil and also want to keep it to the back of the engine if at all poss as the wiring will be neater with the rear mount starter and also its out of the way at the back and in the origional position for the engine with it being a black top
