help as a trade price going to the car acutions
im going to auctions to look 4 a new car as public transport sucks. but have a list of the ones i want but wanting to find somewhere online to get what they would work out
don't understand the question mate
what do you mean ?
wanting to find somewhere online to get what they would work out .
if you phone manheim or bca you can ask the sales team if your sort of car is going through or you can do fax u back but that costs.
i have a account so i can go online searching for free but for non account holders it costs iirc

its all very well doing that mate but your local trader/garage has a thing called overheads, theres sooo much a garage can spend on before they make a profit.
look if you can't be arsed going the auctions to see have a peep in parkers or what car in newsagents as they give various prices like trade,px and private, nearly all traders laugh at them guides though as they can be well fookin out, but so can the proper trade bibles too.

right, so you want to know what sort of money they ar selling for at the auctions before see ing they are as viable an option to buy as you first thought?
different days will give you different prices, even different colours will see the prices flutuate on the same day
when my uncle bought his focus a few years back, all the silver ones made around the £5k mark, but his one was blue and he got it for just over £3k, same year, better spec, same mileage, etc, etc, just that it was blue not silver like every other focus out there

as Dojj says; the same car on a different day will make very different money. I've been to my fair share of auctions and prices are wildly different depending on a number of factors.
Just go to the auction and have a look; best way

Well thats a load of shit. The scrap man gives more than £150 for cars up here and even if he didnt you would bid £150... after fees it would cost you about £220 then after you put it through another auction and sell it for £200 they would take abot £100 off you.... so you've made a loss.
the fees are called a indemnity or service charge, buying from one and shoving in another plus the petrol etc is not always easy but its somthing a few people i know do, you have to really know the auctioneer and staff to try hard to sell your car or van for more than its really worth also you get better rates when you are well known down the occys.

they bought a car from a bloke on the street/ebay for £150 all in
then drove it to an auction house and flogged it for over £200
ok, not the best way to make money once you've factored in all the running around and travling anf fuel etc (a bit like them lot over on spannerman or whatever it's called where they buy a shitter and then spend a week polishing it up and then flog it for 50p' worth of profit, at least the dominic littlewood fella puts labour into the equation when he does his rags to riches thing) but if the scrap man is willing to pay me £50 for my car thats a rotten shitter with absolutly northing vaulable left in it and just a shell then that's what i'm going to do as the bits are worth more than £100 to me
when buying from auctions especially BCA there fees are quite expensive unless your registered as a trader, out of most BCA have the more expensive fees, a good auction i go to is west oxfordshire motor auction, there fees are good they do a lot of ex police cars and they have a list of all cars that are in the sale on the internet so you can see whats there before you go.
