Default what's a 2.1 zetec turbo worth?

as above? i've not got one for sale, but might be getting my hands on one soon and i want to make sure i'm not paying over the top for it

its not been run yet and uses forged 2.0 xe pistons. apparently it should do nearly 300bhp.

cheers

The XE pistons are from the N/A engines,
the LET pistons are from the turbo engines

in the ZVH I am sure they use the LET pistons not the XE ones due to the C/R. I would check which pistons have been installed. The XE's might have been skimmed but that will weaken them.
Do you have any more details about the engine?

xe pistons take the CR to about 8:1 iirc, the let ones are 7.something

the xe pistons are better compatable with the zvh and the let pistons are used in the zetec turbo due to the cr

I like words like 'apparently' and 'spec'd for' and 'Estimated' as often used around the ford community with regards to power
Its a technical term for 'guessed' and 'never been proven'

Well, a standard zetec engine with LET pistons and uprated valve springs WILL do 300bhp, with the right turbo. I think you'd get det problems though with XE pistons at the same power level on pump fuel.
