Anyone know anything about them? I've been looking into getting an oil cooler and this is a nice price. Just not too convinced about how good it would be.

Seems to just have the radiator, sandwich plate and two hoses. How is the water pumped through the radiator?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think most people say that an Oil Cooler isnt needed on a RS (correct me if i'm wrong peeps!).

That one on ebay isnt water cooled, it just has the oil pumped through it and radiates the heat to atmosphere, just like your normal rad does with your water, and your intercooler does with your charge air.

If your looking for a water cooled oil cooler then that is not the one! lol

 

The pipe and fittings are worth more than a Ł100!

 

imo not needed, your correct, if the oil is getting too hot then there is a problem. I think that cooler set up is missing the aux pump, and how the hell are those pipes longenough to mount the rad at the front??? I would leave it alone personnally and spend the money on other parts of the engine. If you oil temps are ok now then happy days .

As said most people don't feel the need until 280-300hp...But if the car goes on track oil gets silly hot.

Some people mount them on inner wing with an air feed since space is so hard to come by at the front. A 10 row cooler won't need another pump IIRC...

That ad though the only thing worth money is the fittings, the cooler looks battered. Get a nice Mocal with strong piping and you're sorted.

 

Thanks for all your replies guys. The engine it will be fitted to will be running about 220-240ish when on track so i figured it was a worthwhile investment.

if you had that kit with some electric fans on a switch that would be cool
