That one on ebay isnt water cooled, it just has the oil pumped through it and radiates the heat to atmosphere, just like your normal rad does with your water, and your intercooler does with your charge air.
If your looking for a water cooled oil cooler then that is not the one! lol
imo not needed, your correct, if the oil is getting too hot then there is a problem. I think that cooler set up is missing the aux pump, and how the hell are those pipes longenough to mount the rad at the front??? I would leave it alone personnally and spend the money on other parts of the engine. If you oil temps are ok now then happy days .
