hi!
i think my ignition amp is gone.
trigger signal is on the amp,but it won´t fire.

can i use any other igniton amps than marelli in my 92 escos?
perhaps vw or audi,bosch.....?

you can , but a brand new genuine one is only around £40.

and ive never actually seen one fail yet, on a cossie its usually always either the crank sensor or the phase sensor that fails that then causes no spark

but i want to try a other amp,
could i really use a bosch vw ect ignition amp?
because i´ve got starting issues,

if i put a short 12V impuls with a 21W lamp on pin25
it starts fine,but after 2-3min the engine dies.

i hope my ecu hasnt a fault.

I would NOT use any other amp other than the correct one, they are the same on al cossies, a WIM050, as fitted to alfa 164 2.0i turbo, ferrari 328, testarossa, fiat argenta 2.0i and turbo, regatta 1600, tipo 1.8 16v sport, 1.8 spi, uno turbo(cat models), escort/sierra cossie, lancia delta 1600ie, prisma 1600ie, thema 2000 turbo.
As said very cheap new, but also normally very reliable, maybe try one from a friends car ?
