Im presuming you own a replica cossie going by your user name so I have no need to have a grumble at you for fitting polybushes in place of oe cossie only joints

I can only speak for the 3dr models but I presume the saffy's to be the same. Ford didnt fit standard bushes to the 3dr, they fitted spherical bushes insted...tbh they do look very standard, but retail at around Ł70 a peice and are much weightier than a normal bush. As such, polybushing aint an upgrade. Do a search on here...there's been a fair few threads on the subject, all coming to the same conclusion.

Also change your user name

Here's a pic of Fords standard spherical bushes...the rubber you can see are just seals. I made this mistake a couple years ago, thinking they were just bushes I went and bought a polybush kit. Eventualy managed to press one out at work to find what I actualy had was these jobbies...found out just at the point where the press shoved the centre bit out the other end destroying the outer casing on its way

Well thnks for the heads up, the only reason I'm changing them is because the back end of the car feels very loose and every poly bush company claim there replacement bushes are better than the oe version....
I have the swing arms removed and I can move the inner metal tube around by hand, quite a bit of play in them which is why I thought the poly bushes would cure the problem......are they supposed to be this loose?

The best mod by far to tighten up the rear of my 3dr was a poly bushed diff hanger...such a transformation.

They are ment to pivot...but if you've got in/out movement then they are shot.
