Hi all,

Just got a new car and figured i may aswell get it covered for breakdowns (which i hope i will never need!).

I am after cover only for myself, to cover roadside assistance, towing of the car to a garage for work to be done, and if possible towed home from anywhere in the UK if it cannot be fixed local to its place of breakdown.

Does cover these days cover the persons or the car?

I see the RAC do Roadside - Recovery cover for £104, is there anything better out there?

ive never had any complaints with the aa, on the two occasions weve broken down they came out and fixed the prob or took the wife and kids home when the belt went on her old car

 

AA is much better than RAC.

Green Flag is best out of the lot IMHO - no fuss, just do as you ask when you request assistance.

Meh, not at all.

 

They did a test in last weeks Auto Express on breakdown organisations and GEM Motoring Assist came out on top. I've been with the RAC for over 10 years now and never had a problem, used them a few times too.
