Default which head gasket????

im just about 2put myengine back 2gether and was wondering which head gasket to use??

the car will be set up to stage 3, i.e. t34,greens,rs500 intercooler.

i may change to blues injectors at later time,

i had GROUP A gasket before and this split and didnt blow,engine had done 10,000 miles

A, why the fuck are you up so early/late??

B, me and the old man are both running roughly the same spec as you and we use either felpro or cometic, there are cheaper ones but it aint really an area to skimp on!!

B. cheers for reply,i was going to go for WRC gasket but not sure if over kill and quite pricey at roughly £350!!

cometic works fine for me altho i do skim the head and block first to ensure a perfect seal.

ive had 3 cossies on group a and 2 of the have had pressure and overheating issues and 2 cossies on wrc and never a problem with either.

YB0611 and wire wrung block, bit old fashioned, but still works very well, plus if the worst does happen and you blow the gasket its only another 55 quid.

i just rebuilt mine with a group a i think its 3 layers metal i also got a wire ringed block but advised not to putthe wire in should i exspect problems not even run in it done 280 miles

I used a small turbo escort HG on my saff, just as good as a grp A and nearly half the price
