Default Polyurethane help needed!

Hi all, I need some help here.

My standard rubber bushes that connect the rear wishbone to the hub are knackered. (all four)

They aren't available through Ford anymore....

Got myself some Powerflex items but they seem to be way to large. (same as my Deflex ones which I bought a few years ago but never fitted because of this problem)

In the wishbones there are metal outer bushes. If I would remove them then maybe the bushes would fit but I'm not sure these can safely be removed.

Did you guys out here removed the metal outer bush to fit polyurethane or do I need a different set of PU bushes? Please let me know what you have done when fitting PU on this joint.

The wishbones by the way are standard S2 items.

All info welcome!!!

Kind regards to all..............

When i bought my first set of poly bushes i removed the outer metal sleeves and fitted that way! It handled absolutely shite! Purely because the wishbones were basically supported on a bit of polyurethane!
Bought some new ones (cant remember which make, lol) and they fitted in perfectly WITH the metal sleeves! Handles a treat now

Some brands make that bushes without the outer metal sleeve. I think this is a error, because the sleeve helps to the distribution of forces to the bush.
I have seen Deflex (floflex) and they mount this bushes directly without sleeve. I think superflex makes that bushes with the outer sleeve in stainless , and the result is better by far.

BTTT

Can anyone confirm this?

Who also struggled with this and how did you solve? Surely a lot more people must have PU bushes fitted.......

More thoughts on this are welcome.

Yes Superflex provide you with brand new metal sleeves. But because of this i think its about £25 per BUSH so £100 for the outer bushes. Think the inner bushes are about £25/30 each as well so you'd be looking at £150 just to polybush the wishbones with Superflex

Superflex it is!!!

I've looked on their website and hey, they even have a picture dedicated to "my" problem.

So this is the one to go for.

Thank you for helping me out!

Cheers......
