I'd expect you'll pay around £800-£900.

I paid £1300 for an E36 M3 EVO Cab....25 with 3yrs NCB at the time.

Give Tesco Online a try...........Daft as it seems, this is where I got the best quote for the M5. Even cheaper than going with some of the BMW M Power affiliated insurance companies. Be interesting to see what they quote you......GIVE IT A GO. And let us know what they quote. If it's anything like me, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

1400 seems far too expensive, theyre more insurable than the E36 and i'm paying <1k and a lot younger than you

Good decision on the car Marc. Lovely things!

Sell the Fiesta parts before they get old or you break or wear them out as well by the way!

I'd expect £500.
I'm same age, same no claims on the E36 M3 and pay £500, and many go onto the E46 and pay less.
E36 is much bigger risk, loads of twats are writing them off - Greenlight won't insure them for one.

advert for the shell is going up 2nite mate although im shitting myself as there is no turning back after that, and ive put so many years into the little xr2

but it has achieved all the goals i wanted it to and more so its more than proved its point and that it had the balls to do the times that it boasted it could

so i spose it goes out a bit of a legendary little car in my eyes

cars are in a different league, alot dearer to insure a e46 as the value is far greater, 20k compared to 4k/8k.also your postcode as a lot to do with it.

Just going off what lots of owners of the both have said, many too thought premiums would go up, but went down.
Will see how it works for me in a bit.

Hmm, would you go for a E46 M3 or an E39 M5?

I spent all of last saturday thrashing my mates M3 (E46) cab around, I thought it was a fantastic car to be fair, and handled very well, especially as it is missing the roof , never been in a E39 M5 (hint hint M5 owners ) , so would be interested to see the difference ...

the ONLY thing I didn't 100% like about the M3 was that it just felt like it needed another 60-80 Bhp , but I have been spoilt by cossie power
