I was too busy playing with Lego and riding my BMX to even know anything about it.

The media doesn't help though, I can't remember ever hearing about murders much when I was a kid where as these days you can't go for half a day without the news telling you of another tragic story

seems childhood is a short one these days, i guess its down to technology and the media. kids grow up so fast now days!

how many boys aged under 10 have u seen out after dark in groups. how many girls under 10 have you seen wearing make up and the likes. i guess kids just want to be 'cool' and grown up these days.

at 10 i was happy with a toy cars and teenage mutant hero turtles!

rip little dude

Yeah i think he thought the same too. I know that was what i thought when my mum died when i was 11. In a childs mind the concept of death is not like an adults so its easy for a child to think they can "join" thier mummy or bring them back.

I do wonder where he got the hanging idea from though. I had no idea of suicide at that age or age 11 and my idea at the time was having big accidents! the concept of suicide is quite advanced for any child that age. Most children that age dont understand the concept that life has an end and that death is final.

Very sad.
