Question Uce small turbo!!!

Hello.

what is the diferent between ANTY and COSY small turbo´s ecu, and, why my small turbo(that have a ANTY ecu) don´t work with a COSY one??
Are the chips diferents too??

Because the ECU is encoded to talk to the PACS system, so you have to get this set up at your local Ford dealer. However, I understand that you have to have the same serial code for this to be changed, as in you must replace a COSY ECU with another COSY ECU and then get Ford to recode the PACS to the new ECU, otherwise it will not disengage the imobiliser circuitry.

I thought it was PATS? Passive Anti Theft System? Not PACS. Correct me if im wrong.

my small turbo doesn't have the pats system...
it has the wanky wipac one

Its a dodgy factory fitted immobiliser with an electronic key in the centre console. When they go wrong they tend to immobilise the car permenantly...

There is only a small difference in programming between the COSY and ANTI ecu's. The COSY ecu coding has an error in it that causes the initial (on power up) copying of variables into ram to fail. The later ANTI ecu fixed this problem.
