i use mine all the time and now planning a tour of europe in my series 2 but i am middle aged and got a light right foot and dont thrash my tuned rst , i can go on a 10 mile trip and not even here the dump valve
as long as its maintained well there is no reason why you shouldn't have the confiedence to go any where but if you have bodged a job on the car 4 lack of funds then driving it everywhere will give you doubts

i use mine everyday, go on long journeys i it but just always that little bit conscious something might happen. just a bit worried that if i do anymore long journeys in it my new cam will end up the same as the last...round and knackered! i dont go stupid in the car but just not sure its up to 100+ mile motorway driving.

i took mine down south of france a few years ago , it loved the long smooth open roads , it didnt miss a beat, although i did struggle getting up the ramp onto the ferry, bit of a scary moment , couldnt get any grip as the ramps were steel and wet , we just crabbed up it haha

I well setup looked after s2 should be a nice daily motor
unless you spend a fairbit of money upgrading bits they won't appreciate getting thrashed everyday though!
