Sump plugs..??

Default Sump plugs..??

Can anyone tell me if the 2wd and 4wd sump plugs are the same..?? and what size is the tread of the the sump plugs..??

You should use Honda Civic ones as they have a much larger hexaganol on them and the spanner does not round them off. It is the exact same thread and use the Honda aluminum washer too.

If this is becuase you have stripped the threads then the easiest repair is to buy a m16 tap and a suitable drill bit and re-thread it to this size then buy a peugeot sump plig that is visualy the same as a standard cossie bung ie 13mm hex but with a 16m thread over a standard 14mm. Shouldnt be any need to go bigger in the spanner size for a sump plug if your torquing it up correctly....vauxhalls use a T45 torx and they do just fine if not over tightened and thats alot smaller than a 13mm spanner.

So a standard 2wd/4wd sump plug is a M14 tread?

lol just noticed what i wrote....if you do it how I said, you'd be after a peugeot sump plug...sump plig's aint suitable
