i drove my rs combi van up to the pod this weekend, bout 140 miles, drove perfect all the way up, as soon as i pulled in and bought my ticket, i pulled away and the combi wouldnt go anywhere! its boosting and holding 15psi, not splutering, turbos spinning up nice, basicly its making all the right noises just wont go, it drove the 140miles home fine to! apart from not being able to usethe turbo! HELP ANY1! mayb a sticky actuator?
If the turbo is producing and holding 15 psi of boost it has to be something to do with the engine management.
TPS would be my first port of call seeing as they are prone to dry joints internally, and this being the sole component that triggers your full load fuel enrichment.........
if it has a knock sensor it could be the ecu at fault, will boost like normal but the ecu could be taking the timing away, will make all the noise but feel flat.

yea thats what its doin mate, also not startin now, fuel regulator ecu?
cant be actuator then or duff turbo wastegate i wouldnt have thought because these wouldnt correlate to a starting issue unless this is of course another issue its picked up
well that cant be helpin the situation surely!! gona change that1st, process of elimination right?
if its working its working.....if it wasnt the fuel pump wouldnt run and therefore it wouldnt start.
if i had any doubt as to the relay being a symptom in the problem i would advise changing it, and as ive already said, your current one is getting hot and melting, unless you change the fuel pump aswell the new one you fit will do the same thing..........
thanks 4 all your help guys but no1 was right!! got it back 2day and the timing was way out, the distributor had worked its way loose, so all back running sweet as now, cheers!!
