After re-reading Rob Virgo's sump tale it got me thinking. Coz I've pretty much got the handling sorted on my car and it tends to stick like the proverbial to a blanket, what are the chances of suffering from oil starvation when on track????. My sump, like the engine is bog standard.

Nice one Wes, I would have thought any good ally welder could knock one up but |I suppose its have the dimensions and details of any other internal mods. I would have thought the Zoo, Mike R or Martin H would be able to get/make something like this.
I wonder if Porkie has any more piccies of this, plus internal shots?

Paul,
I've got the same one as in Matt's pic for my car.
Bearing in mind you're going to be doing a few trackdays, it's a very worthy investment - especially as your car reportedly handles as well as it does.
Plus, you know you'll have a set of slicks on there soon enough

I went down the same path, so before you know it, they'll be bucket seats in the front
speak to Harvey Gibbs mate, i got a big wing sump when i had my engine built, only costs about £150 i think mate, and they are pressure tested for pin hole leaks
, makes so much difference in oil temperature too, keeps nice and cool

But failing that the interior of will be staying the same as I use it nearly every other day on the road.
Good idea Paul, but you deffo need the baffle and the big wing. The propper gated baffle can be got from Mountune and they are just over £100 i think when I got mine. Unfortunatly we don't do ally welding at the moment at our place and I have just sold my mountune sump to Kev Catt.
No I am not going dry sump. But the 7.5" Ford Motorsport front diff I am using requires that you also use the super bling Ford Motorsport Magnesium sump that goes with it. The Mag sump comes all big winged and baffled.
