its probably been posted before but ill ask anyway,i have a bmw e46 as my daily driver ,when i bought it 5yrs ago i could tell it had been machine polished and in certain light the swirl marks look terrible, wots the best and easiest way to remove these,do i use like a finer grade of a g3 product or can i use a polish i have bought a polisher to help cut down the effort but do i use a sponge or a wool bonnet cheers
As hard as bmw paint is, I wouldn't like to use a rotary on it without a pti/ptg.
i would never use anything on anything without a PGT these days, but then i do do it all the time now. Just for piece of mind.
I remember working on an alfa once with a PC, a couple of days later my replacement pgt came though so i went back and tested the paint and it was 56microns in some places and over 300 in others.
