hi just bought a powerchips ofac module for plugging into my 1991 fiesta rs ecu but it came with instructions to solder two links inside the ecu of not already done so, is this nescessary or has anyone had this before? not to keen on soldering insdie my ecu thats all, i thought the chip just plugged in and that was that!

 

The instructions are generic, AFAIK it was only the last of the eec-v ecu's that required this doing.
