my mates midway through zetec turbo'ing his Escort, he's decided not to use the ofab stuff and to go for Emerald management, which means he now has the ofab ecu spare... he may also have an efi head as he was going to go zvh at first... he's in south shields so nice n local to you, drop him a pm if youre interested... his usernames R6Franky

you dont need to use this adaptor. if you have a close look at the efi manifold with the injectors on place , you will see that the injectors are quite far back and dont get very close to the head. using a efi gasket from ford , mark the non efi head and carefully remove some meat where the injectors go . you should end up with about 3mm between the inside of the port and the edge of the face on the head - my 89 xr3i runs fine with this modification when i used its head for the turbo. i ran my sidedraught motor with only about 2mm between the port and the edge of the mating face on the head , and this motor saw 2 bar without a problem. looks to me that you will now have to do double work on the match porting and have twice the hassle with gasket blowing
on mine i use the ofab ecu on a xr3i loom you need to swap the plug for the map sensor which has to be mounted with the hose faceing downwards i used a cosworth mounting bracket and fixed it to the heater box plus you have to swap some of the wires on the ecu plug try rs bible it tells you which ones to swap

From: BLUE PILL or RED PILL ... All I offer is the truth, nothing more, nothing less. You choose.
Funny thing is, some time ago Jano accused me of copying his idea ... I think its safe to say my adapter plate is certainly NOT a direct copy of his.

I've seen it done (stevenbolts style), there are pics kicking around somwhere on the site.
IMO any adapter plate should have smaller port holes than a standard head, to be enlarged (matched) to you heads ports.
This is the risk people take when they don't get parts properly drawn up and cnc machined. The actual plate minus the cut outs doesn't look too bad, its been laser cut but like said could do with having the ports smaller, and maybe the faces cleaned up.
In Janos defence, his inlet adapter is very cheap, a decent one from ferriday will cost upwards of Ł120 i believe. I drew one up to be made but in the end it was just cheaper and easier to fit an efi head, a one off laser cut then machined would have been 70-90ish and my head was Ł50. Job Jobbed.

That is the most one sided post i have ever seen. If you had any issue you should of called me direct or emailed me etc etc.. Anything but keep quite untill it suits you to come on to a public forum slating a product.
Firstly the plate you had was the master cut, of a run of 100. For what ever reason it was lined up wrong on the jig (Not by me). You can see this due to the writing and info on the plate. Only reason you was sent this was because you was rushing me to send one out to you after i said there was nothing i could do but wait. So i didnt even get a chance to dummy it up on to a head (Here is the only mistake i made.)
Next is that if you had called me the day you found out that it didnt line up, i would of sent one out to you the next day that would line up 100%. Just like the other 99 of them i had.
The reason you waited X amount of time is that these items are not made in house and takes 3 seperate enginners to get to the finished product.
How i could be fairer than that i dont know.
As for taking it to the next step of slating me, silly talk about professional line drawing etc, my customer service etc etc is a bit below the belt. I didnt draw the lines or set the plate up in a jig.
If you had any issues i would of given a refund or sorted it out anyway i could.
I think you will find it very hard to find someone else as fair as me.
How can my customer service skills be shit if you didnt even contact me after the delivery to tell me direct about any of this.
